This was my last session before the world stopped.
(Ironically enough, this is the first blog post I’ve written in almost a year.)
Literally, 2 days before the country said we needed to shut down until further notice.

Just like each and every one of us, the wave of emotions and uncertainty hit.
Trying to predict the next move was virtually impossible… so I decided to do the only thing I could control…

Ride… The… Wave… Whatever that may look like.

With more time to reflect, I have discovered a lot of things about myself, others and the importance of connections.
I missed my day to day… at first, but now I am forced to create a new norm. I’ll be honest… the first 2 weeks was terrible. Emotionally drained, hearing about friends losing loved ones, hearing the struggles and anxiety which surrounds us, lost and trying to figure out what I needed to do to do simple tasks like going to the grocery store.
….but we adapt. The best way we know how.

Taking time to listen and absorb what is.
Taking time to truly feel.
We adjust. We move forward. We move back. We slide to the left, to the right like Drake’s new banger.
It’s a dance we do daily, but it might look a little different now.

There has been a shift with life… and I truly think for the good. I have a hopeful heart that we will come out better, stronger with the purpose of living IN the moment. To actually be in it. Soaking it all in. Strengthening connections and taking a moment to slow down.

So here we are.
